Why?

On Monday Reuben had another speech and language appointment to decide on a new episode plan for him until October. We have been working on questions and past tense and we are going to continue to help him to ask questions about the world around him and be able to answer questions. We have been photographing his days and helping him with his memory by asking questions like what he has had for breakfast, who he has seen and what he has done, these questions often confuse him but by using the photographs it is really helping him. Children often ask 'Why' to everything and we will be encouraging Reuben to ask more questions so he can learn. Another thing we will be starting is 'a bit later' or 'tomorrow' by using pictures and times, as Reuben doesn't understand if something isn't happening straight away so we will be working on that to help him understand. He will be visited in nursery in November and then in January another review will take place to start the transition to school.

On Monday afternoon we enjoyed a trip to Blackpool to see the air show with the Red Arrows and lots of other planes :)
