Our Summer so far.... :)

We're half way through the summer holidays and so far it's been non-stop! We started with our much anticipated sunshine holiday to Spain, (ironically Britain had a heat-wave and we had rain for a while!) It was Reuben and Esther's first flight and they loved it! We had a lovely holiday and Reuben enjoyed the sea, swimming pools, sand, kids club, unlimited ice-lollies and just about everything! We didn't have to worry about food as they had a full coeliac menu and his IBS even settled while we were there so we didn't have to worry about that either! It was lovely to see him playing in the sunshine and enjoying the water - he even picked up some Spanish words and songs :)

Reuben loved his inflatable boat!
On a boat trip they let Reuben be the Captain!

Other things we have done so far...
A day in Scorton with family enjoying the park and a meal at the barn
day out with Grandma and Great Grandma celebrating her 84th birthday!
Having a boat ride at the park :)

A day out with Auntie Tracy, Reuben loved the big wheel!

Not quite a swimming pool in Spain, but still fun!

Hospital update: Reuben's operation is now scheduled for 3rd October with a pre-op assessment 2-4 weeks before then. He will have 2 rods either side of his spine holding his spine in place as he grows. The initial operation should reduce the curve by about 50% while the rods are in place. This photo shows how he is now before his op.
