2 hours in A&E today

Another bump to the head today, when Reuben falls over he really hits the ground so straight and fast because of his cast, and today he had a particularly nasty head bump in the school playground which resulted in us dashing to the hospital due to a huge fast swelling on his forehead, it looked much worse than it was, and by the time he got to the hospital he had forgotton all about it and was back to being his usual cheeky self! He's fine in himself so was allowed home after seeing the doctor.

Angela (occupational therapist) came this morning to do his weekly session with his hands and he did about an hour of exercises today. He's very dextrous with his fingers although his hands do still work together instead of independently but hopefully the exercises will help.

We were waiting from a call from Manchester hospital today about Reuben's cast, they were meeting today to discuss when they can fit him in to have his cast changed but still haven't rung so will have to chase up again! We're surviving on Calpol and Cuddles at the moment because his cast is getting quite tight and his back is getting really sore, he won't lie on it any more and spends his time playing on his tummy during the day; even sitting for more than a few minutes is uncomfortable for him so we look forward to when he can go to have it replaced.
