On 29th January at 06:18am Reuben Nathanael Cross was born! He weighed 7lb 1oz, 4 days before his due date.
Everything seemed fine for a while but he had some problems and was taken to the SCBU where he stayed for 2 days. He had trouble keeping food in his stomach and would be sick causing him to stop breathing and turn blue. He was also given anti-biotics for an infection. He had jaundice as well but this was just monitored. We were allowed home after about a week but had to go back for the jaundice clinic. Due to the problem with his stomach he was slow to put on weight and it took 3 weeks to get back to his birth weight. We were discharged by the midwives and could attend baby clinic instead to be monitored.
