Speech and Language Assessment June 2013

Reuben had another speech assessment yesterday as part of his on-going speech therapy. He is 3 years 5 months and was assessed to be at the level of 2 years 6 months for comprehension but articulation is age appropriate. He struggles with questions and understanding what people ask him and remembering details like what he has had for breakfast etc but it's something we are working on to help him with.


Reubens spinal surgery will be in August, this is a video showing the procedure, don't watch if you're a bit squeamish or eating your dinner, it's a little bit gory. The child in the video has the same degree of scoliosis that Reuben has currently. It was helpful for us to watch to give us an idea of what will happen to him, but don't click on the link if you don't like things like that.

Reuben's IBS has been playing up again recently and he's seeing gastroenterology again in a week, he had some tests done recently so we'll have the results back and see if anything has changed or if he needs anything else changing.
