A Few Days Later

Tonight a very weary achey Reuben came over and led across my lap - I rubbed his tiny crooked little back and he sighed deeply and then almost instantly fell asleep on my knee. Over the past couple of days he has been using muscles which he hasn't been able to with the cast on, so now that he can move again he has enjoyed the freedom of bending and stretching but his muscles are aching now! He's getting there though, it will wear off soon and we know he will feel more comfortable soon. his skin still has to heal properly but it's only a matter of time, we are applying lots of creams to him to ease the itchiness and dryness and he has been enjoying baths again - and playing in the sandpit!
Today we had the TAC meeting and everything was very positive - he has exceeded expectations and is doing very well - so well that he doesn't need a lot of the help and input any more which is great! We saw him today running around on the grass at nursery with other children in the blustery snow and they were all trying to catch snowflakes on their tongues, it was lovely to see him making friends and interacting - he's never very far away from his very best frind Grace who he calls 'cheeky' :o)
And last night he slept all night - how amazing is that!

It was Mother's Day yesterday - we went out for a lovely lunch - here is Reuben, this is a children's meal but it looks huge in front of him! Egg, chips and peas with plenty of ketchup!
